History

The story follows a young hero as they travel across the region, collecting a total of eight Gym Badges and eventually defeating the Pokémon League to become the Champion. The protagonist receives a Pokémon of their choice from new Pokémon Professor Bamb’o and sets off. The player’s mother has gone missing following a nuclear explosion at a power plant, and his father, Kellyn, remains cold and distant as he throws himself into his job to avoid dealing with his grief, leaving the boy with his aunt. Throughout the game, the player has reason to be suspicious of events, as strange occurrences occur around them, and a severely irradiated Pokémon looms over the region, ready to destroy everything.
